This is Schibsted’s first sustainability report in accordance with Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) Standards for sustainability reporting, level Core. It also constitutes Schibsted’s Communication on Progress (COP) submission to the UN Global Compact.
Our ambition with the report is to be transparent and share our approach, performance, progress and plan for the field of sustainability during the year 2017 and forward. The sustainability report refers to the period from 1 January to 31 December 2017. Schibsted publishes a Sustainability report on an annual basis; the previous report (not according to GRI Standards) was published on 19 April 2017.
Schibsted’s sustainability strategy was adopted after a thorough process to ensure alignment with the business strategy.
Users, corporate customers, our people, investors, owners and suppliers participated in multiple stakeholder dialog focusing on their expectations and demands for our sustainability efforts. The topics derive from the four pillar areas of the UN Global Compact: respect for human rights, labor rights, environmental protection and prevention of corruption.
